Community Feed & Give Back (November)

Building Food Justice and Winter Preparedness in Southern Alameda County

As temperatures drop and the season changes, East Bay Community Care Network (EBCCN) is proud to host our annual Community Feed & Give-Back—an event rooted in dignity, equity, and mutual aid.

This gathering is a collaborative, people-powered event focused on addressing food insecurity, housing instability, and winter survival needs for our unhoused and low-income neighbors across Hayward, Union City, Fremont, and surrounding communities.

What the Event Will Offer

• Hot, nourishing meals served with care

• Free winter gear distribution, including jackets, gloves, blankets, socks, and hygiene kits

• On-site health and wellness resources, including mental health support, reproductive health info, and harm reduction supplies

• Referrals and connections to housing, case management, and emergency support services

This event is not charity—it’s community care, rooted in solidarity and justice. We are bringing people together to ensure that no one is left out in the cold.

Ways to Get Involved

We welcome individuals, teams, businesses, and organizations to participate in the following ways

• 🤝 Volunteer to serve meals, distribute items, or assist with setup/cleanup

• 🧤 Donate winter gear like new/gently used coats, gloves, socks, blankets, and hygiene supplies

• 🎪 Table as a resource provider and share services with our community

• 💼 Sponsor the event as a business partner—help us scale our reach

• 🚛 Support logistics and operations, including transportation and outreach

• 🛠 Jump in wherever you’re needed—we’ll find a place for you
