Medical Director / Lead Volunteer Provider

Overview
The East Bay Community Care Network (EBCCN) is seeking a dedicated Medical Director or Lead Volunteer Provider to help oversee, support, and lead a team of interdisciplinary volunteer health professionals. This is currently a volunteer role with potential for paid opportunities in the future as EBCCN secures state, federal, or philanthropic funding.
The Medical Director role blends hands-on clinical work with leadership and oversight, ensuring the delivery of integrated, trauma-informed, and harm reduction-based care to some of the East Bay’s most underserved populations.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Provide leadership and clinical supervision for all EBCCN medical and behavioral health volunteers
Assist with the development of clinical protocols, field safety, and best practices
Mentor new volunteers and assist with onboarding
Support complex case reviews and interdisciplinary care planning
Deliver direct clinical services aligned with your licensure and area of expertise
Maintain adherence to scope-of-practice, HIPAA, and EBCCN’s values of equity and compassion
Qualifications
Current, unrestricted California license (MD, DO, NP, or PMHNP)
DEA registration (if applicable)
At least 3 years of experience; leadership background preferred
Commitment to trauma-informed, equity-centered care
Experience with field-based or community-centered medicine is a plus

Overview
East Bay Community Care Network (EBCCN) is seeking volunteer OB/GYN and reproductive health providers (MD, DO, NP) to offer compassionate, affirming care to individuals with limited access to reproductive services. Providers will deliver trauma-informed, gender-inclusive reproductive health services through mobile clinics and community-based outreach, including STI screenings, family planning, prenatal/postnatal counseling, and wellness education. This role supports reproductive justice by addressing systemic health disparities and empowering individuals to make informed choices about their bodies and health.
This is a volunteer position with the potential for future paid opportunities as funding becomes available.
Responsibilities
1. Offer reproductive health exams, STI screening, and family planning counseling
2. Provide prenatal/postnatal support and connect clients to follow-up services
3. Support reproductive justice through inclusive, affirming care
4. Educate clients on birth control, menstruation, and overall reproductive wellness
Qualifications
1. Licensed MD, DO, or NP in California
2. Experience with gender-affirming, trauma-informed reproductive care preferred

This role is ideal for adaptable, equity-driven clinicians eager to practice in resource-limited environments and make a tangible difference through direct community engagement.

Responsibilities
1. Provide basic urgent/emergency care (wound care, infections, stabilization)

Overview
East Bay Community Care Network (EBCCN) is seeking compassionate and mission-driven volunteer psychiatric providers (MD, DO, or PMHNP) to join our growing, interdisciplinary team. Volunteers will deliver high-quality, trauma-informed psychiatric care to individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability across Southern Alameda County and Santa Clara County.
This is a hybrid role, blending telehealth flexibility with occasional field-based outreach at encampments, shelters, or mobile clinics. Psychiatric providers play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex mental health and co-occurring substance use needs, using a harm-reduction, person-centered approach. Providers will collaborate with case managers, social workers, peer advocates, and other healthcare professionals to promote stability, healing, and dignity in care.
This is a volunteer (unpaid) position. However, as EBCCN secures additional funding through grants or public partnerships, paid opportunities may become available.
Volunteer Responsibilities
1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management

Volunteers will provide brief therapy, crisis de-escalation, and linkage to ongoing care in field-based or mobile clinic settings. This role is critical in delivering trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to unhoused and marginalized populations and contributes to an interdisciplinary care model rooted in equity and healing.
This is a volunteer role with future potential for paid engagement as funding allows.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities

2. Maintain and grow EBCCN’s social media presence

Qualifications
Experience in case management or social services is helpful
